@ Story Time

The name comes from the wildcat of Crete.

“Fourogatos is the wildcat of Crete, and it is also the name that presides over the new restaurant in the heart of Koum Kapi.”
from their Facebook page (translated)

They have printed its story on the placemat too, under your plate. It says the wildcat is larger than an ordinary cat. The male grows to 50 centimetres, with a tail of 30.

The mysterious wildcat Crete, native to the forests of Crete. Fourogatos roams the rugged terrain, embodying the essence of the island's wilderness.

  • One of my good friends recommended we go to this place, he said we couldn’t leave Chania without trying it. He was 110% right about that.

  • …large portions so definitely sharing food but can strongly recommend pork kontosouvali . Beautiful location too , even in a storm!

  • Από τις λίγες φορές που εύχομαι να μπορούσα να βάλω πάνω από 5 αστέρια, γιατί αυτό το εστιατόριο τα αξίζει και με το παραπάνω.
